Terms & Conditions

  • Parking and venue access must be provided for staff to unload, set up, and remove equipment. Staff must be allowed sufficient time to dismantle and remove equipment following the agreed operational hours.
  • To secure a booking, a $100 deposit is required; the balance must be paid to our nominated bank account prior to delivery or in cash to Play Pit staff upon arrival. Equipment will not be set up until full payment has been received. All payments are non-refundable.
  • Once a booking is accepted, cancellation terms apply regardless of whether acceptance was verbal or written; these terms take precedence over any client-standard terms. If the event is cancelled within 14 days of hire, the deposit is forfeited.
  • The hirer assumes full responsibility for any loss or damage to equipment, including mats. A $100 bond is payable to Play Pit staff on arrival. In the event of damage during the hire period, the bond will be forfeited.
  • Doorways/gates require at least 900mm width for access. Please inform us in advance of stairs, lifts, tight corners, steep hills, or driveways, as these may necessitate additional labour charges.
  • If access is less than 900mm wide, this must be discussed before your event to avoid issues with delivery, setup, and pickup. Should staff encounter difficulties, they reserve the right to cancel setup upon arrival, with the full hire fee remaining payable.
  • Ensure a clear area of at least 2 metres (6 feet) surrounds the unit.
  • If equipment must be transported through your house, every care will be taken, but we cannot accept responsibility for any resulting damage.
  • Play Pit reserves the right not to proceed with equipment setup if staff determine that conditions are unsafe. The full hire fee remains payable.
  • Should staff consider the environment unsafe for themselves or equipment, setup will not proceed, and the hire fee will still apply.
  • In the event of unsuitable weather at the time of delivery, the full hire fee is still due.
  • The hirer is responsible for taking all reasonable steps to prevent injury or equipment damage.
  • For the Ball Pit, kindly ensure that all balls are collected prior to pick up. Please note that a replacement fee of $15 will be charged if more than 20 balls are missing.

Safety Instructions:

  • The maximum age limit for equipment use is 5 years old. Ensure only eligible users and maintain the equipment’s cleanliness. Damage while in the hirer’s possession results in bond forfeiture.
  • No food, drinks, or chewing gum are permitted near the equipment to prevent choking hazards and mess. Excessive cleaning requires a $50 fee.
  • All shoes, glasses, jewellery, and badges must be removed before use.
  • Do not allow substances such as face paint, bubbles, or liquids to contact the equipment.
  • Smoking and animals are strictly prohibited near the equipment.
  • The equipment should be supervised by a responsible adult in accordance with Play Pit staff guidance.
  • Avoid overcrowding in the ball pit and separate children by age and size when possible.
  • Discourage running onto the equipment to prevent collisions or trips. The Play Pit accepts no liability for injuries sustained during use.
  • Equipment should not be left in direct sunlight, as it may become hot. Ensure adequate shade and sun safety measures are followed.
  • Prevent children who exhibit signs of illness or infection from using the equipment to reduce the spread of germs.
  • Do not allow use of the equipment until fully set up and prohibit use during disassembly.
  • No pets, toys, or sharp objects are to be allowed near the equipment.
  • Ensure children do not wear shoes or have items in their pockets while using the

The hirer releases The Play Pit, its employees, and agents from any claim or liability arising from the use of the equipment by the hirer or their guests. The hirer accepts full responsibility for all minors using the equipment at the venue.

The Play Pit operates in accordance with standard Health & Safety requirements. Our staff reserve the right to refuse services that fail to meet these standards or contravene our insurance terms.
